Lived Experience
Elise Stephens is a wellbeing literacy practitioner who specialises in the operational realities of policing and other high‑pressure roles. Her work focuses on the practical skills that support regulation, rhythm, recovery, readiness, and the critical transitions officers navigate between operational environments and everyday life.
Across her career, Elise has worked alongside frontline responders, supervisors, and families, helping them understand the vigilance cycles, identity shifts, and operational loads that shape life in high‑pressure work. She brings a rare blend of lived experience, professional training, and grounded clarity — translating complex wellbeing concepts into simple, real‑world tools officers can actually use.
Now based in Western Australia and working within WAPOL, Elise continues to build Blue Ground as a calm, practical wellbeing literacy ecosystem. Her work centres on micro‑tools, operational readiness, recovery rhythms, and the everyday transitions that keep officers steady both on and off duty.
Blue Ground is her way of contributing to a healthier operational culture — one built on literacy, capability, and simple tools that support people who serve.

Where Blue Ground Is Going
Blue Ground grows alongside Elise's new chapter as Principal Safety & Health Advisor within the Western Australia Police Force.
As her work expands into organisational wellbeing, Blue Ground evolves too — building tools, language, and systems that support regulation, rhythm, recovery, and readiness for people in high‑pressure environments.
It remains grounded in lived experience and committed to creating practical, accessible wellbeing resources for individuals, families, and workplaces navigating demanding roles and transitions.
